The project should reflect the involvement of the chosen community (collaboration in a group of colleagues, in a teaching planning group, in a community of guidance counsellors, in a team of researchers etc.) by linking it with research literature. The theoretical background for the participatory development project might be often drawn from the concurrent or previously completed course "Curriculum and Educational Development" or the course "Academic supervision and guidance."
