Objective
Student learns the basics how to carry out exposure measurements and some laboratory skills needed for exposure assessment. Learning and understanding of basics in exposure modelling. Student will get also data processing skills.
Content
Introduction to personnel exposure monitoring. Personnel exposure measurements, data collection with a diary and data handling procedures. Laboratory exercises, (VOCs, or alternatively PAH analysis or heavy metals). Demonstrations for particle sampling in occupational settings. The exercises include reporting and analysis of the results. Possible visits to measurement stations of Kuopio City and Finnish Meterological Institute. Introduction lectures of modelling and exercises for developing of an exposure model.
