Objective
Upon the completion of the course, the student - has developed his/her skills in choral conducting: hand technique, interpretation, rehearsing the choir, analyzing and playing full score - is familiar with different compositions of liturgical choral music - is able to proceed to the exam level - has gained experience in developing their own expertise, leadership and communication Generic Competences: Leadership and development, Identification and development of expertise, Interaction and communication
Content
During the preparatory and exam course, the student has gained experience in - different styles of liturgical music, hand technique, musical phrasing, analyzing music with the text, choral voice formation, rehearsing the choir, playing the full score, the psychology of choral activity and the role of a chorister - preparing a repertoire and conducting at an exam

Execution methods
If necessary, teaching for this course is organised simultaneously with the course Choral Conducting 1.
Accomplishment methods
Modes of study: Lectures and small group exercises 63 h, singing in the choir 54 h, independent work 45 h. Evaluation criteria: Active participation (80%) in lectures and exercises, preparatory exam: - familiarity of the repertoire: examples of playing full score, singing voice parts, tuning with a fork - conducting one piece by his/her own choice from the repertoire Teacher evaluates the preparatory exam.
