TUTKINNON YLEISKUVAUS JA KOULUTUKSEN PROFIILI
Suoritettuasi fysioterapian ammattikorkeakoulun tutkinnon olet terveydenhuollon laillistettu ammattihenkilö. Fysioterapeuttina tehtävänäsi on yksilön terveyden sekä toiminta- ja työkyvyn edistäminen ja ylläpitäminen. Tuet eri-ikäisiä asiakkaitasi löytämään omat voimavaransa ja selviytymään erilaisissa elämäntilanteissa ja toimintaympäristöissä,ja toimit moniammatillisissa työryhmissä oman alasi asiantuntijana yhteistyössä muiden asiakkaan hoitoon ja kuntoutukseen osallistuvien asiantuntijoiden kanssa. Fysioterapeuttina voit työskennellä perusterveydenhuollossa, erikoissairaanhoidossa, terveysalan yrityksissä, potilas- ja kansalaisjärjestöissä sekä esimerkiksi urheiluseuroissa ja erilaisissa koulutus-, konsultointi- ja ohjaustehtävissä. Fysioterapiakoulutus antaa sinulle myös valmiuksia yrittäjyyteen sekä projekteissa toimimiseen.
Lapin korkeakoulukonsernin strategisista valinnoista fysioterapian koulutuksessa painottuvat erityisesti tulevaisuuden palvelut ja etäisyyksien hallinta sekä kehittämisen painopisteinä terveyttä, toimintakykyä ja hyvinvointia edistävät ratkaisut pitkien etäisyyksien yhteisöissä. Opetussuunnitelmassa strategian painotukset konkretisoituivat etäkuntoutuksen ja kuntoutumista tukevien teknologioiden sisältöinä. Halutessaan opiskelija voi laajentaa osaamistaan myös urheilufysioterapia alueella, minkä mahdollistaa koulutuksen yhteistyö Lapin urheiluakatemian kanssa.
OPINTOJEN JA OPETUSSUUNNITELMAN RAKENNE
Fysioterapian opintojen rakenne ja tutkinnon laajuus ovat ammattikorkeakouluista annetun asetuksen (1129/2014) mukaisia. Tutkinnon laajuus on 210 opintopistettä, jotka jaetaan perus- ja ammattiopintoihin, vapaasti valittaviin opintoihin, ammattitaitoa edistävään harjoitteluun ja opinnäytetyöhön, joka sisältää myös tutkimus-, kehittämis- ja innovaatio-osaamisen opinnot 5 op).
Perus- ja ammattiopinnoissa tavoitteenasi on perehtyä alan teoreettiseen perustaan ja keskeisiin ammatillisiin osaamisalueisiin sekä niiden tieteellisiin perusteisiin. Oppilaitoksen osoittamissa oppimisympäristöissä ja käytännön työelämässä tehtävässä ammattitaitoa edistävässä harjoittelussa sovellat ja vahvistat osaamistasi erilaisissa asiakastilanteissa. Työelämäharjoitteluissa perehdyt myös fysioterapian työelämän käytänteisiin ja kuntoutuksen ammattilaisen rooliin moniammatillisessa yhteistyössä. Vapaasti valittavien opinnoissa tavoitteenasi on syventää ja täydentää ammatillista osaamistasi. Vapaasti valittaviin opintoihin voit sisällyttää myös muiden korkeakoulujen ja muiden koulutusten opintoja. Opinnäytetyöprosessissa kehität valmiuksiasi soveltaa tietoja ja taitoja ammattiopintoihin liittyvässä käytännön asiantuntijatehtävässä. Opinnäytetyön toteutuksessa sinulla on mahdollisuus monialaiseen, koulutusten väliseen yhteistyöhön.
Lapin ammattikorkeakoulussa opetussuunnitelman rakenteen muodostavat fysioterapian ydinosaamisen, profiloivan osaamisen sekä tutkimus- ja kehittämisosaamisen opintokokonaisuudet.
Ydinosaamiseen liittyvissä opinnoissa tavoitteena on perehtyä ammattialan ammatillisiin tehtäväalueisiin ja niiden perusteisiin siten, että kykenet valmistuttuasi työskentelemään itsenäisesti alan asiantuntija- ja kehittämistehtävissä. Myös tutkintoon kuuluvat viestinnän sekä englannin ja ruotsin opinnot toteutuvat ydinosaamisen opintokokonaisuuden opintojaksoissa. Opintojen loppuvaiheen profiloivan osaamisen valinnoillasi voit suunnata osaamistasi laajemmalle tai syventää osaamistasi. Tutkimus- ja kehittämisosaaminen sisältää tutkimus- ja kehittämisosaamisen opinnot (5 op) sekä opinnäytetyön suunnittelu, toteuttamis- ja viimeistelyvaiheen.
FYSIOTERAPIAKOULUTUKSEN KOMPETENSSIT JA AMMATILLISEN KASVUN POLKU
Opetussuunnitelman perustana toimivat fysioterapian työelämän osaamisvaatimuksista johdetut valtakunnallisesti yhtenäiset laajat osaamisalueet eli kompetenssit ja Lapin ammattikorkeakoulun koulutusten yhteiset, yleiset työelämäkompetenssit. Koulutusten yhteisten kompetenssien arviointi toteutuu koulutuskohtaisten kompetenssien arvioinnin yhteydessä eri opintojaksoissa koulutuksen kompetenssimatriisin mukaisesti.

Opetussuunnitelmassa koulutuksesi oppimisprosessi tehty näkyväksi kuvaamalla fysioterapeuttiopiskelijan ammatillinen kasvu perehtyjästä kehittäjäksi vuositeemojen avulla:
1. vuositeema: Fysioterapiaan perehtyjä
Perehdyt kuntoutusalaan, fysioterapia-alan ammatilliseen osaamisperustaan ja alan toimintaympäristöihin. Perehdyt myös ihmisen toiminnan edellytyksiin ja terveyden sekä toimintakyvyn edistämisen keinoihin.
2. vuositeema: Fysioterapiaan harjaantuja
Harjaannut fysioterapeuttisessa tutkimisessa ja fysioterapian interventioiden suunnittelussa ja toteutuksessa yksilön toimintakyvyn ylläpitämiseksi ja edistämiseksi. Harjaannut alan työelämätaidoissa ja saat valmiuksia oman alasi tutkimus- ja kehittämistoimintaan sekä yrittäjyyteen.
3. vuositeema: Fysioterapian soveltaja
Syvennät fysioterapian teoria- ja tutkimisosaamista sekä kliinistä osaamista. Jatkat tutkimus- ja kehittämisosaamisen syventämistä myös opinnäytetyön tekemisen kautta.
4. vuositeema: Fysioterapian kehittäjä (EQF 6)
Koulutuksesi päättyessä olet saavuttanut fysioterapeutin ammatissa toimimisen edellyttämät kliinisen osaamisen taidot ja niiden taustalla olevan tietoperustan. Sinulla on valmiuksia kehittää asiantuntijuuttasi ja fysioterapia-alaa osana kuntoutuspalveluja sekä edistää fysioterapian asemaa yhteiskunnassa.
OPINTOJEN TOTEUTTAMINEN JA ARVIOINTI
Fysioterapian koulutuksen opetussuunnitelma on osaamisperustainen, ja opinnoissa painottuvat tiedon hankkiminen, tuottaminen ja yhteinen jakaminen sekä kyky soveltaa teoriatietoa käytännön työtilanteisiin. Opiskelet erilaisia oppimisympäristöjä hyödyntäen kampuksella ja verkkoympäristöissä sekä työelämäharjoitteluissa. Harjoittelua voit tehdä eri puolella Suomea olevissa harjoittelupaikoissa tai harjoitteluvaihdossa ulkomailla.
Kansainvälistymistä tuetaan kieliopinnoilla, opintojen vieraskielisellä materiaalilla ja rohkaisemalla kansainväliseen opiskelijavaihtoon. Kansainväliseen vaihtoon sinulla on mahdollisuus lähteä 7. lukukauden aikana. Vaihdossa suorittamasi opinnot luetaan osaksi tutkintoasi. Lisäksi voit osallistua kotikansainvälistymistä tukeviin tilaisuuksiin ja tapahtumiin sekä kansainvälisten opiskelijoiden tutorointiin.
Opiskeluasi ja ammatillista kehittymistäsi tukevat ohjaus ja palaute, joita saat oppilaitoksen henkilöstöltä ja työelämäharjoitteluiden ohjaajilta. Tärkeää on oppia hyödyntämään myös itse- ja vertaisarviointia. Arvioinnissa hyödynnetään ns. kehittävää arviointia, jossa arvioinnin kohteina ovat sekä oppimisprosessi että oppimisen tulos. Arvioinnin perustana ovat kunkin opintojakson osaamistavoitteet, jotka johdetaan koulutuksen kompetensseista. Oppimistulokset voidaan tunnistaa opetussuunnitelmaan kirjattujen arviointikriteerien avulla.
AMK- tutkinto antaa jatko-opintokelpoisuuden kahden vuoden työkokemuksen jälkeen ylemmän ammattikorkeakoulututkinnon (YAMK) suorittamiseen. Opintoja voi jatkaa myös yliopistojen maisterikoulutuksissa koti- tai ulkomailla.
