The student is familiar with the surgical diagnosis that are most commonly encountered in surgical nursing. S/he understands how these diagnosis affect the health and coping of people they concern. The student is able to assess care needs and to plan, implement and evaluate nursing of a surgical patient.

Perioperative Nursing
Perioperative process ( pre-, intra- and postoperative phases )
The duties of the anesthesia-, instrument and circulating nurse in the teamworking in Recovery ( PARU)
