Objective

Completing the course, the student will be able to: - ​Define the basic concepts of leadership in social and healthcare - ​Identify human-centered leadership models and styles - ​Describe the characteristics, goals and values of human-centered leadership - Apply self-leadership skills in everyday leadership - Apply human-centered leadership to practical leadership in social and health care

Content

Basic concepts of leadership in social and health care, human-centered leadership models and styles, the psychology of leadership and positive leadership, self-management skills and the conditions and implications of human-centered leadership in social and healthcare.

Qualifications

Continuous assessment (e.g. self- and peer-assessment) and online exams.

Materials

Current learning material, research literature and scientific articles related to the topic. The study material related to the course will be confirmed at the beginning of the course.

Further information

Suitable as a minor (25 credits) for a Candidate or Master degree in Health Sciences or as a single course for elective studies.
