Objective

The student can • apply clinical psychology theories and research results and describe their practical applications • describe the assessment of personality factors • describe disorders in depth and critically evaluate their classification and related factors • define appropriate research and treatment methods

Lectures and other teaching max. 24 hours and independent work about 110 hours.

Content

From the point of view of clinical work, the student gets to know the most important factors evaluated in individual research theoretically and learns to apply clinical psychology research, theories and approaches to certain psychological disorders. For example, the following disorders/contents are included: schizophrenia, non-organic sleep disorders, gender dysphoria, (developmental) trauma.

Applicable parts or other literature: Curvis, W. (Ed.), 2019, Professional Issues in Clinical Psychology: Developing a Professional Identity through Training and Beyond, Routledge.

Qualifications

Most of the bachelor's degree in psychology, including at least basic psychology studies, Developmental Psychology II and Clinical Psychology II.
