The course consists of three study units:
1) My portrait of Italy. The module aims at encouraging reflection and discussion on student’s previous knowledge, thoughts and opinions of Italian culture. The students will analyse the elements that build their own “portrait of Italy”.
2) Italy: Facts and figures. The module provides general, factual information about Italian language, history, geography, artistic and cultural heritage and society.
3) Italian culture and my field of studies. In this module, each student (or group of students) will have the opportunity to examine a topic of their choice that is related to Italian culture and relevant to their own field of studies.
