Objective
Upon completing this module, the student should be able to discuss in depth various questions related to law of the sea.
Execution methods
The module consists of two parts: A & B. Both can be completed by a literature examination but you can also gain the credits for these parts by lectures/written assignment/seminar (about which you will find more information in Moodle workspace "Public International Law Courses in English").
A) 2 ECTS: (electronic) literature exam on Tanaka Yoshifumi, The International Law of the Sea (3rd ed. 2019), Part I: The Divided Oceans, Chapters 1-5, pp. 3-235).
The examination is available as an e-exam in the electrical exam service (called EXAM).
B) 3 ECTS: (electronic) literature exam on Tanaka Yoshifumi, The International Law of the Sea (3rd ed. 2019), Part I: The Divided Oceans, Chapter 6 & Part II: Our Common Ocean, Chapters 7-14 (pp. 236-543).
The examination is available as an e-exam in the electrical exam service (called EXAM). NB. Part B is available only for students who have completed part A OR otherwise have basic knowledge of law of the sea.
Accomplishment methods
You can get credits for the module from lectures / written assignment / seminar or literature examinations.

B) 3 ECTS: (electronic) literature exam OR seminar
NB. Part B (literature exam or seminar) is available only for students who have completed part A OR otherwise have basic knowledge of law of the sea.
