Objective

You have the ability to create study and field-related writing assignments that meet the requirements of higher education in terms of content, language, and layout. You understand the importance of communication skills in expert roles within your field. You can consider the target audience in your communication and utilize a variety of communication channels and tools. Additionally, you can adapt your communication appropriately to different situations and target groups.you have the skills for effective and appropriate communication that supports your professional development and success in your field.

Content

You communicate orally and in writing in a clear and understandable manner, and you learn to follow given instructions and templates. You actively participate in various communication situations. You know how to engage in interaction situations as an artist. You write the necessary texts for your portfolio and present your portfolio orally.

Location and time

Toteutus kontaktiopetuksena sekä verkko-opintoina Adobe Connect -verkkoluokassa ja Moodle-oppimisympäristössä 31.1. - 15.5.2022. Moodle aukeaa viikko ennen opintojakson alkamispäivämäärää.

Materials

Luennot, luentomateriaalit ja muu sähköinen opiskelumateriaali, joka löytyy toteutuksen Moodle-oppimisympäristöstä.

Teaching methods

Opetustunnit päiväaikaan klo 9 - 15. Tarkemmat ajankohdat ks. lukujärjestys. Osa luennoista järjestetään Adobe Connect -verkkoluokassa ja/tai Teams-ympäristössä. Toteutukseen kuuluu sekä itsenäistä työskentelyä että pienryhmätyöskentelyä.

Exam schedules

Toteutuksessa ei järjestetä tenttejä.

Student workload

Opintojakson laajuus on 5 op, mikä tarkoittaa noin 133 tuntia opiskelijan työtä. Opintojakso sisältää eri opiskelukokonaisuuksia, joiden ajankäyttösuunnitelma on seuraava:
* Kirjallinen asiantuntijaviestintä ja tiedonhankinta: 50 h.
* Portfolio-osaaminen: 25 h
* Suullinen asiantuntijaviestintä: 25 h.
* Asiantuntijaviestinnän eri osa-alueet soveltuvin osin: 23 h

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The tasks related to written and oral expert communication involve carrying out a detailed implementation plan and describing specific evaluation criteria for each task.
You are able to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and understandable manner, and you can follow given instructions and templates. You understand the importance of communication situations and objectives in effective communication. You are capable of participating in interaction situations as an artist. However, there are some deficiencies in producing documents specific to your field.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The tasks related to written and oral expert communication involve carrying out a detailed implementation plan and describing specific evaluation criteria for each task.
You are able to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing, following the practices and conventions of your field. You can choose the appropriate communication methods based on the situation and objectives. You are capable of responsibly participating in interaction situations as an artist and contributing to successful communication. Additionally, you are able to produce documents specific to your field of expertise.
