Learning objectives:
The student:
- knows the system of social and health services providing welfare and social security and its functions
- knows the main principles of the Social Welfare Act (1301/2014) in regard to social services
- knows the main principles of the Act on the Status and Rights of Social Welfare Clients in the implementation of social services
- can take the significance of distances into account in social services

- Service welfare service system: public, private and third sector services, administration and cooperation
- Basic concepts of social welfare
- Main principles of the Social Welfare Act and Act on the Status and Rights of Social Welfare Clients

Esseessä vähintään 3 kirjalähdettä sekä moodlen materiaalin hyödyntäminen.

Teaching methods

Kontaktitunnit, joissa 80% läsnäolovelvollisuus. Vuorovaikutukselliset luennot sekä AC että kontakti Kemissä. Pienet ryhmätyöt tunneilla ja itsenäistä työskentelyä. Kurssiin kuuluu: tehtävä, itsenäinen työskentey ja essee.

Satisfactory (1–2):
The student can describe the principles of welfare policy and the basis of social and health policy. The student knows the main principles and service systems of the Health Care Act, Social Welfare Act and Act on the Status and Rights of Social Welfare Clients.

Good (3–4):
The student has a good grasp of the principles of welfare policy and the basis of social and health policy. The student has a good grasp of the contents and service systems of the Health Care Act, Social Welfare Act and Act on the Status and Rights of Social Welfare Clients.

Excellent (5):
