Objective

At the end of the course student is able to-design and weave with TC-1 jacquard loom-develop libraries of weave in Photoshop: draw weaves (satins and twills), prepare the design, fill the weaves in design-work with 2D- surface design into 3D- woven structures and materials

Execution methods

36 hours lectures and guided exercises, 45 hours independent work

Accomplishment methods

Active participation to the lectures and guided exercises successful completion of task. Basic knowledge how to use Photoshop.

Content

-Basics of Jacquard design in Photoshop-Introduction to the jacquard design process, weaving and to TC-1 loom technology-Possible to weave very detailed designs, big repeats and single shuttle weaves based on student´s own photograph-Fabric sketching

Suoritus on ehjä kokonaisuus, joka sisältää perusteltua omaa ajattelua tai kriittistä pohdintaa. Harjoitustehtävät on toteutettu hyvin.
