Objective

The student knows the processes and goals of logistics and supply chain management.
He/she knows the role of supply chain management in modern business and the role of sustainability in logistics.
He/she understands how environmental impacts on product design, procurement, production, packaging, warehousing, transportation and delivery are reduced and measured.
The student understands the importance of recycling and how reserve logistics systems operate.

- Inbound logistics (purchasing, warehousing, inventory management)

- Sustainable Supply Chain Management (circular economy, recycling and environmentally friendly packaging)

- Sustainable transportation, waste management and energy consumption

Location and time

Until further notice, we intend to have the course on campus and not online. Learning materials and schedule are accessible as usual in Moodle and Peppi.

Level 1
Processes and goals of logistics:
The student knows the basic principles of logistics and he/she understands sustainability aspect of logistics.

Level 2
Processes and goals of logistics:
The student is able to explain the basic principles of logistics and he/she understands extensively sustainability aspect of logistics.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Level 3
Processes and goals of logistics:
The student understands basic principles of logistics.
He/she is able to analyse how different methods in sustainable logistics can have a positive impact on both business and environment.

Level 4
Processes and goals of logistics:
The student has good knowledge of basic principles of logistics.
He/she can evaluate justifying how different methods in sustainable logistics can have a positive impact on both business and environment.

Level 5
Processes and goals of logistics:
The student has a command of the principles of logistics.
