Osaamistavoitteet

1. Understanding the basic concepts of research and various research methodologies. 2. Developing ability to critically interpret research findings and addressing research-related problems. 3. Recognizing the importance of statistics in empirical research. 4. Learning how to search for research data relevant to own professional field. 5. Becoming familiar and gaining capability of project implemention. 6. Developing skills to produce reports related to the management and execution of a project and research.

Sisältö

1. Selection and familiarization with a project and its related sub-project. 2. Project agreement negotiations. 3. Preparation of a sub-project implementation plan and schedule, followed by a presentation to peers. 4. Practical implementation of the small-scale quantitative questionaire as a part of the chosen sub-project focus. 5. Analysis of the sub-project’s success and presentation of outcomes to peers. 6. Self-assessment and reflection on personal learning. 7. Introduction to basic statistical concepts and data presentation techniques. 8. Data processing and analysis using a statistical software.
