Objective

After completing the course unit, the student will be able to work actively, responsibly, and interactively in different groups, in addition to which, the student willunderstand the activities, decision-making, and operational practices of the University, another organisation or associationunderstand the significance of influencing and be able to use the experience in studies and working lifeAND/ORbe able to identify the aims of the University’s quality management and, in particular, degree education, and quality assurance proceduresunderstand one’s role and responsibilities in the planning and completion of studies and the development of teachingbe able to give feedback to improve operationsunderstand the significance of quality work and be able to use the experience in studies and working life.

Content

A student may obtain credits for the course unit for having - served as a member of Teaching Competence Assessment Pool and participated in at least ten teaching competence assessment sessions in this role (1 credit)AND/OR- participated in the University’s quality work, i.e., a FINEEC (Karvi) audit interview and workshop (1 credit).

Further information

A student can be given credits for holding the same position of trust only once.For assessment, students prepare a report describing their activities in assessment tasks, reflecting the competence accumulated in them.More detailed criteria and reporting may include faculty- or unit-specific differences and guidelines, e.g., the University’s quality work reporting includes familiarisation with the way using feedback is described in the curricula of one’s own faculty/degree programme and the related ways of giving feedback.The student must submit the report as an e-mail attachment to the faculty’s e-mail address. The e-mail message should be titled as follows: code and name of the course unit / the student’s degree programme or specialisation.
