Objective

The student will learn to analyze spatial data and solve various spatial problems. Student will also obtain capacity to apply existing theories creatively and further develop the key concepts.

Content

Spatial modelling and spatial problem solving including methods for multi-criteria decision making, transportation optimization, data visualization and critical spatiotemporal thinking. The topics of the applications may vary from year to year. Course will also include selection of the topical research themes.

Qualifications

Applied geoinformatics 1 or equivalent studies and basic skills in the use of ArcGIS software.

Contact teaching. Online teaching and digital learning environments when applicable. 

Accomplishment methods

Lectures (24 hours), exercises (30 hours), a practical project with a report, specified literature, and a final examination.
