Content

Models of matter, ideal gas law, equipartition theorem, Maxwell-Boltzmann distribution, partition function, the laws of thermodynamics at macroscopic and microscopic level with their consequences, heat engines and refrigerators

Materials

Schroeder, D. V. Thermal physics (1999). Materials distributed in the course

Further information

• This course is meant for photonics, physics, and technical physics majors and minors but open for everybody.
