After completing the course, the student will: - understand the systemization and interpretation of legislation regarding the handling and management of information - be able to apply their knowledge in practice The course will further students’ capability to work as legal experts in positions such as Data Protection Officer, administrative lawyer, and different management positions. The course unit will develop the following generic traits: - digitalization - identification and development of expertise

Informaatio-oikeuden perusteiden luentotallenteet on katsottava ja monivalintatehtävä läpäistävä ennen ensimmäistä lukuvuoden tenttiä, johon opiskelija osallistuu. Hyväksytty suoritus monivalintatehtävästä on voimassa lukuvuoden. Luentotallenteet ja monivalintatehtävä ovat saatavilla ja suoritettavissa kurssin eLearn-alustalla syyskuun lopussa. Vapaaehtoiset syventävät luennot järjestetään Joensuun kampuksella, josta luentoja voi seurata Kuopion kampuksella. Luentoja ei tallenneta.

Accomplishment methods

Mandatory lectures (4 hours) and related assignments, optional lectures and related exercises (16 hours), Independent study of literature and legislation (113 hours), exam (4 hours). Mandatory lectures and the related assignments must be completed on Moodle before taking the exam. Additional assignments can be given during the lectures for extra points in predetermined exams.
