Objective
Learning outcomes: A successful student will - is familiar with the classics of children’s literature in English - recognises the underlying ideologies of children’s literature - is familiar with the conventions used in children’s literature The course develops the following working-life skills: - Language skills, multidisciplinarity, culture specialisation, argumentation skills, research skills, meaning-making, time management and prioritization Generic competences: internationality, critical thinking, identification and development of expertise, interaction and communication
Content
The course introduces the students with classics of children’s literature in English and ways of analysing them.

Basic Studies, 2130445 Nineteenth-Century Realisms: Race, Class, and Gender and 2130446 Twentieth- and Twenty-First Century Literature.
