Objective
Learning outcomes: A successful student - is able to write an academic paper on a topic relevant in the chosen field - masters the basic communicative skills in the chosen field The course develops the following work life skills: Meaning making, creativity, time management and prioritisation, argumentation skills, systematic thinking, managing large entities, research skills and critical thinking, IT skills (Office) Generic competences: digitalization, ethics, leadership and development, internationality, critical thinking, identification and development of expertise, interaction and communication
Content
The compulsory BA Thesis is based on the research work presented in the Bachelor’s seminar. The student is expected to revise their Bachelor’s seminar paper as instructed. The length of the BA Thesis is approximately 5,000 to 6,000 words (ca. 20 pages). The BA Thesis is submitted to the teacher in charge of the Bachelor’s Seminar course. Before the Thesis is assessed, its originality has to be tested by running it through the Turnitin program. The student will attach a one-page Finnish abstract to the essay; the abstract form is available on the Faculty’s website.
