Introduction to Statistics (MDP in Linguistic Sciences)Laajuus (4 cr)

Objective

Learning outcomes: After completing the course the students are able to use a spreadsheet application to carry out various tasks, including organizing and categorising data and depicting data through tables and graphs. Students are familiar with the basic concepts of statistics and are able to use simple statistical methods.

Content

Data matrix, measuring, distributions, descriptive statistics, differences between groups, dependency and correlation.
