Objective

After completing the course, the student will:be familiar with document management standards, their importance at different stages of the life cycle and their effect on document management in practicebe able to plan document management, taking into account the entire life cycle of the documentary databe familiar with the principles of creating an archive and digital document managementbe able to organise, list and describe archive materialbe able to determine the value of documentationbe able to apply the theories and principles of screening in historical and international context, and to create new knowledge based on thembe able to define the role of screening activities in shaping documentary cultural heritagebe able to describe, assess and relate issues concerning archive storage scheduling and preservationbe able to distinguish the specific factors affecting the screening of a variety of archival sources (digital and paper) and identify the specific characteristics of these materialsbe familiar with the research and theories in the field

Legislation, government regulations, guidelines and recommendations, international and national standards in the archive sector; document management, design and life-cycle phases, assignment classification, principles of creating an archive, registration and production of metadata, archiving criteria, document series, describing document materials, description principles and practices, information systems, electronic documents.Valuation, screening and preservation, valuation theories, assessment of the storage needs in terms of the operation, legal protection and research, documentary cultural heritage, archive as memory, electronic data preservation and screening as well as screening and research activities.
