Osaamistavoitteet
Aim
The aim is to learn the planning, implementation and evaluation process of strategic management in a firm in hospitality and tourism industry. The focus will be on the analysis of the business environment, strategic thinking, leadership and performance management. The process will be studied from financial, customer, internal processes and learning perspectives.
In teams the students will do an assignment on designing a strategy for a case company. In addition the students will have an individual assignment related to financial reporting of a tourism company.
Teaching methods
Lectures and group work, active LearnLinc participation. Case-based teaching and discussions. Team and individual assignment. Presentation of papers.
