Objective

After completion of the course the student is able to
- think scientifically
- use the basic concepts: knowledge, theory, method, methodology, epistemology, concept, position, arguable
- formulate a research question
- promote good scientific practices.

Content

What is science? And what does it mean to think scientifically and theoretically? What are the choices the research demands, and how to evaluate their meaning during the research process? Common procedures and frequent challenges in research will be identified and experienced. Various methodological approaches, their application and evaluation will be examined.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Fail: Demands complementation or does not meet quality standards.
Pass: Successful completion of an assignment.

Execution methods

Teaching profile: FACE-TO-FACE.
Lectures and an independent analysis on an empirical research article.

Accomplishment methods

Successful completion of a task given in a course.
