Objective
After completing the course, the student will be able to
-deepen knowledge of research methods in fashion and textile design 
-deepen understanding and mastery of qualitative research methods 
-apply arts-based research methods as part of the artistic part of the thesis.
                    
Content
Students learn about research methods in lectures given by experts in the field, and assess the suitability of the methods for their thesis.

The course performance is very weak or the course work contains considerable misunderstandings and neglect of the course's work methods.

The course performance is limited / poorly corresponds to the given tasks and agreed working methods. In the exercises, the treatment of the fashion and textile design research and the application of methods is inconsistent. The knowledge of arts-based methods and presentation methods as part of the artistic part/production of the thesis is superficial / the interaction with the research is very weak.

The course performance is done in a structured and controlled manner / corresponds well to the given tasks and follows the agreed working methods. In exercises, familiarization with the fashion and textile design research and the application of methods is consistent and carried out smoothly.  The application of arts-based methods and presentation methods as part of the artistic part/production of the thesis is well described / the interaction with the research is demonstrated.

The course performance is precise and consistent / corresponds well to the assignment and follows the agreed working methods. In the exercises, the deepening the expertise of fashion and textile design research is versatile and insightful. The development of art-oriented methods and presentation methods as part of the artistic part of the thesis/production is described with expertise / the interaction with the research is demonstrated and justified.
