Objective

At the end of the course student is able to:
- identify a current theme or phenomenon in fashion and/or textile design
- apply relevant theories, concepts and principles related to fashion and/or textile design
- justify the importance of the solutions made in the creative process of fashion and/or textile design
The objectives of the course are specified according to the topic of each workshop.

Content

The content is determined by the changing topics in the field of fashion and textile design.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Fail (0): the performance is very incomplete or incorrect, or contains significant misunderstandings.

Intermediate - Satisfactory (1-2): Performance is superficial or poorly relevant to the given task. The performance is limited to a loose list of issues or a narrow treatment of issues. There may be errors inaccuracies.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Good - commendable (3-4): performance is in line with the given task, showing understanding and the ability to analyse and justify.The overall picture is clear, but may be incomplete.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Excellent (5): The performance outlines a broad picture and demonstrates the ability to apply knowledge in a multidimensional way or to place it in different contexts. The performance shows an independent approach and insight. The performance is a coherent whole, involving reasoned reflection or critical thinking. The response is well written or executed.

Execution methods

Project-based. Lectures (20 h). Group and independent work (115 h).

Accomplishment methods

Approved solutions to the assignment of the course, which will be agreed upon with the instructor at the beginning of the workshop. Varies from workshop to workshop: e.g. report, visualization or prototype.
