Objective

Student will learn to interview and counsel clients in English. They also learn the importance of interaction, cooperation and ethical behavior.

Content

Students practice client consulting in simulated situations with clients.

The course is a part of an optional study module of proactive contracting (25 credits):
1. proactive contracting and contract design (in Finnish)

5. client consultation

Additional information
Registration in Peppi, maximum 20 students, 80% attendance required. Students who are interested in gaining further insights into client counseling and participating in the International Louis M. Brown and Forest S. Mosten Client Consultation Competition have the opportunity to continue with studies on client consulting during spring term.

Execution methods

A seminar with lectures, teamwork and a learning diary written according to the instructions given at the beginning of the course (40 hours) Each student should be able to practice at least once in the role of a client and twice as a lawyer.
