Osaamistavoitteet
Student understands the interplay between sales- and carriage of goods contracts and the relevant liability regimes in international maritime transport, as well as combined transport. Carriage of goods wholly or partly by sea is the core of the course, connected with charter agreements, cargo and P&I insurance, law of salvage and general average. Students will learn how the maritime transport system is regulated through mandatory and non-mandatory instruments and how the risk management system of transportations works together with international sales as a hole. Student is able to use and analyse standard transport documents and to make legal analysis on casualties in maritime transportation.
