Osaamistavoitteet
Having completed the course, the participants i.e. doctoral students:
- are familiar with the salient research areas in Arctic research and their typical ways of setting research questions
- can perceive their own research topic in the broader field of Arctic research
- understand the various interpretations of the term “Arctic” and are able to justify their own interpretation.

The course is implemented through blended learning methods: the course is divided into contact meetings and assignments completed between them both independently and in groups.
Suoritustavat
Participation in the course meetings, completion of the required assignments, and participation in the closing seminar.
