Winter School - International Business in the Arctic (5op)

Osaamistavoitteet

Learning goals
Student is able to define current and future trends of Arctic Business and innovation potential. He/she is able to identify the Arctic from the geographic, geopolitical and socio-economic prospective. Students understand the challenges and opportunities of the region from the point of view of the cross-cultural and cross-border cooperation. Study on indigenous cultures is a part of the course.Students gain theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of entrepreneurship and innovations. Students improve their problem solving and project management skills through real life project cases. In addition to theoretical knowledge, which students will gain during the course, students will get valuable hands-on experience in developing an innovative Arctic business and/or Arctic product/service with step-by-step guidance by coaches and supervision of Arctic business commissioners.
