Objective
Students are able to follow and interpret economic information from different sources. Students are able to make analysis of contemporary economic developments and make an assessment on how national and global economy affects the business locally. In particular they are able to find and utilise information about regional economic development in the Arctic in order to predict potential impacts on regional business environments. He/she understands basic functions and processes of a business and knows main entrepreneurship theories and practices. The student recognizes entrepreneurship as a career option. .

Student knows the main business processes. The student knows main entrepreneurship theories, main entrepreneurship factors and common traits of entrepreneurs. Student recognizes some geopolitical, sociocultural, economic and ecological aspects in the Barents Euro-Arctic region. Student recognizes importance of sustainable development and ethical factors.

The student is able to analyse personal readiness to become an entrepreneur and is able to identify what personal abilities and professional skills one needs to develop. Student understands the meaning of geopolitical, sociocultural, economic and ecological aspects in the Barents Euro-Arctic region. Student understands main business processes and their meaning is successful business. Student has increased entrepreneurial attitude and is able to make his/her own career development decisions. Student understands the effects of sustainable development and ethical factors and can foresee possible business opportunities in the North.
