Objective

The student knows the basics of classical mechanics. He is able to analyze simple motion, balance and collision situations using appropriate mechanical models. He is able to produce by programming simulations according to the laws of mechanics.

Content

- Smooth and steadily accelerating movement
- Falling movement
- Oblique throw
- The laws of Newton
- Friction force
- Air resistance
- Law of conservation of mechanical energy
- Collisions
- Equilibrium conditions

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student is able to apply the laws of mechanics to simple, clearly defined motion, equilibrium and collision situations and produce simulations of these by programming.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student is able to choose mechanical models suitable for simple motion, equilibrium and collision situations, analyze these situations with the help of models and produce simulations of situations by programming.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student is able to choose mechanical models suitable for more complex equilibrium, motion or collision situations, to analyze these situations in various ways and to produce simulations of these situations by programming.
