Competence Goals:
The student is familiar with the surgical diagnosis that are most commonly encountered in surgical nursing. S/he understands how these diagnosis affect the health and coping of people they concern. The student is able to assess care needs and to plan, implement and evaluate nursing of a surgical patient.

Perioperative nursing:
- Perioperative process( pre- ,intra- and postoperative phases)
- duties of anaesthesianurse, instrumentnurse and circulationnurse
- teamworking, aseptical working
- working in Recovery
