Osaamistavoitteet
After successful completion of the course, the doctoral candidate will:- Perceive the basics and concepts of multidisciplinary environmental studies- Familiar with the cross-disciplinary research within the topic- Recognizes the differences and meanings between different research traditions, concepts and methods both from the epistemological perspective as well as in the research practices
Sisältö
The main focus of the course is on multidisciplinary discussion on environmental studies conducted at the University of Lapland. The course will bring together researchers from different disciplines represented at the University and the candidates are able to familiarise themselves with the recent research conducted at the university and to engage in discussion with the researchers.

The course is organised for doctoral candidates at the University of Lapland, in the doctoral programme Northern cultures and natural resource politics.

Toteutustavat
The course consist of attendance in lectures arranged during spring 2019 (March – April) and on essay based on lecture and readings provided by the lecturers.
