Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Satisfactory skills
The student has basic knowledge of his/her own study field and of the learning approach of RAMK.  He/she is able to use all the most common learning environments and electronic tools at RAMK/MTI with assistance and he/she knows basic document writing principles. He/she can take satisfactory responsibility for his/her own and the group’s learning process and follow ethical principles when searching for and using information. He/she can show minor elements of analytical, reflective and critical thinking. The student has basic social, intercultural and communication skills to be able to work in a multicultural team. He/she has some understanding of the field of tourism and hospitality and he/she knows basic principles of customer-oriented, interactive and hospitable way of working. The student is able to describe briefly, simply and understandably his background, studies and work experience and tasks in Swedish but his/her Swedish skills need improvement. He/she manages work related contacts and customer service in Swedish with assistance. His/her oral and written communication follows the proper style only partly. The student can introduce him-/herself and ask and answer questions about personal details in Finnish with assistance. He/she can react to greetings and other simple everyday situations.

The student has good knowledge of his/her own study field and of the learning approach of RAMK.  The student is able to use RAMK’s learning environments and electronic tools independently and he/she knows how to write documents according to the right style and templates. He/she can take responsibility for his/her own and the group’s learning well and follow ethical principles when searching for and using information. He/she shows in his/her activities analytical, reflective and critical thinking and learning. The student has good social, intercultural and communication skills to act as an active member of a multicultural team. He/she has an overall picture of the tourism and hospitality field and knows well different principles of customer-oriented, interactive and hospitable way of working.The student is able to tell basic facts about his/her background, studies as well as work experience and tasks in Swedish. He/she manages quite well in work related contacts and customer service in Swedish. He/she is able to use a proper style in his/her written and oral communication. The student can introduce him-/herself and ask and answer questions about personal details in Finnish. He/she can react to greetings and other everyday situations. He/she sometimes needs assistance.
 
Excellent skills
The student has excellent knowledge of his/her own study field and is able to foresee its meaning in the context of career development. He/she has an excellent command of the learning approach of RAMK.  The student is able to use RAMK’s learning environments and electronic tools independently and efficiently and he/she also knows how to write documents according to the right style and templates. He/she can take excellent responsibility for his/her own and the group’s learning and follow ethical principles when searching for and using information. He/she has excellent analytical, reflective and critical thinking and learning skills. The student has excellent social, intercultural and communication skills to be able to work in a multicultural team. He/she has a thorough overall picture of the tourism and hospitality field and has profound knowledge of customer-oriented, interactive and hospitable way of working. The student is able to describe fluently his/her background, studies as well as work in Finnish.
More specific assessment criteria for learning assignments will be given at the beginning of the study unit.
