Osaamistavoitteet

The student
- has the needed knowledge and skills of the multi-field research and development and innovation methods, processes and activities in northern environments.He/she is capable of utilizing research related expertise in his/her advanced professional studies and especially their own future thesis project.

- comprehends the objectives set for the Bachelor thesis andknows the structure of the thesis process, the principles of different types of theses andhave basic skills for doing a topic analysis and a research plan and for completing the thesis project.

- knows how to write academic text and is able to write according to the right referencing system

- knows how to write texts by using correct grammar and phrasing. He/she is able to communicate in English in demanding situations.

- knows how to use sources in ethical and academic manner. He/she understand how to approach the reference sources in analytical, reflective and critical way

Satisfactory skills
The student has satisfactory skills in the research and development and innovation methods, processes and activities. He/she has the basic skills in utilizing research related expertise in his/her future thesis project and he/she has the satisfactory skills in the topic analysis and can create a basic research plan. The student has satisfactory written and oral skills of English. He/she has some problems when using the right referencing style and grammar and his/her use of sources does not always follow the principles and regulations given. His/her creativity skills in his/her written and/or oral communication are at a basic level. The student shows limited analytical, reflective and critical approach in most his/her activities.
Good skills
The student has good skills in the research and development and innovation methods, processes and activities. He/she has good skills in utilizing research related expertise in his/her future thesis project and he/she has good skills in the topic analysis and can create a research plan.The student has good written and oral skills of English. He/she knows the main principles of the right referencing style and grammar and is able to use the most sources in an ethical and academic manner. His/her creativity skills in his/her written and/or oral communication are at a good level. The student shows analytical, reflective and critical approach in most his/her activities.
Excellent skills
The student has excellent skills in the research and development and innovation methods, processes and activities. He/she has excellent skills in utilizing research related expertise in his/her future thesis project and he/she has excellent skills in the topic analysis and can create a diverse research plan. The student shows excellent written and oral skills of English in his/her communication. He/she knows the right style of referencing and grammar and knows how to use sources in an ethical and academic manner. His/her creativity skills in his written and/or oral communication are at an excellent level. The English skills of the student are very fluent. The student shows analytical, reflective and critical approach in all his/her activities.
