Objective

After the course the student has gained the skills to implement a prototype of a mobile application utilising different data formats, maps, APIs and protocols.

Content

1. JSON / GSON + XML

2. Maps: Google Maps, Open Street Map ja MapBox

3. REST APIs and how to use them (case YELP.)

4. Creating own API and how to use it, Apigility

5. MQTT-protocoland MQTT-server (broker) installation
- Reading weather data
- Transferring own test data using MQTT

6. Implementing a prototype from your own ideas related to the project work

Location and time

This course is organized between 21.2.2022 and 15.5.2022.

A more specific timetable for lectures and workshops are agreed among all participants on Microsoft Teams. The instructor will contact all participants for more details once the course starts.

All materials will be available in Moodle, additional materialfrom Internet will be also used.
