Objective
After completing the course, the student is able to
- describe and analyze the possibilities of tangible interaction in product design
- analyze and apply the acquired knowledge to design interactive products
- plan, design and make interactive prototypes
Content
Up-to-date products of physical interaction are evaluated and analyzed. Based on the acquired information, new, interactive products are designed. Product ideas are developed and tested with models and prototypes.
Qualifications
Courses UC-REA1003 Introduction to Physical Programming are recommended as preliminary information.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
(0)The performance is very incomplete or incorrect, or contains significant misunderstandings. (1-2) Performance is narrow, superficial, or poorly matched to assignment. The performance is limited to listing things in isolation, or dealing with things unilaterally. Execution may contain errors or ambiguities.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
Performance corresponds to assignment, demonstrates understanding and the ability to analyze and justify. The whole picture has been formed, but there may be shortcomings.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
The performance outlines a broad entity and the knowledge can be applied multidimensionally or placed in different contexts. Performance demonstrates independent grip and insight. Performance is an intact entity that includes justified self-thinking or critical reflection. The exercises are well executed.
