Content
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with communication practices in English both professionally and generally. Students will learn vocabulary of their field of study and practice the vocabulary in order to use them efficiently. Students will gain skills to use English both oral and in written forms in their line on work.
The contents of the course consist of reading field specific articles, reports and viewing videos, and film clippings. The course will provide opportunities to students to present their choices of materials or any field trips that students are asked to make. Students will learn to introduce subjects for discussions at informal meetings where students will be instructed to use proper phrases and procedures. Students will be instructed on memo and report writing guidelines. Students will also be provided instructions on writing a CV and job application.
