Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Satisfactory skills
The student has basic knowledge of concepts, success factors and challenges of the competitive destination management.   The student has vague understanding how to take into consideration the core issues of managing destinations and destination experiences in a sustainable way. He/she has difficulties to apply related theories in practical learning assignments. The student is entitled to participate in a group project related to a destination management development task within the Barents Region.  He/she performs quite passively during the project and does not have the adequate ability to apply project management and team working skills in action.  All the assignments are mostly performed according to the instructions.
 

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Good skills
The student has good knowledge of concepts, success factors and challenges of the competitive destination management. The student understands mostly how to take into consideration the core issues of managing destinations and destination experiences in a sustainable way. He/she is mostly able to apply related theories in practical learning assignments. The student is entitled to participate in a group project related to a destination management development task within the Barents Region. He/she performs quite actively during the project and is able to apply the main project management and team working skills in action. The student shows analytical, reflective and critical approach in most his/her activities. All the assignments are mostly performed according to the instructions.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Excellent skills
The student has profound knowledge of concepts, success factors and challenges of the competitive destination management. The student understands how to take into consideration the core issues of managing destinations and destination experiences in a sustainable way. He/she is able to apply related theories fully in practical learning assignments. The student is entitled to participate in a group project related to a destination management development task within the Barents Region. He/she performs actively during the project and is able to apply project management and team working skills in action. The student shows analytical, reflective and critical approach in all his/her activities. All the assignments are performed according to the instructions.

These are the general assessment criteria. Please note that there might be more specific assessment criteria for learning assignments which will be given at the beginning of the study unit.
