The student knows the basics of contract and corporate law as well as the main tourism-related legislation
.
The student:
- knows basics of contract and corporate law and has an understanding how legislation affects different business models and earning logics
- gets an overview of Finnish legislation and the courts of justice
- understands the meaning and contents of agreements
- understands the main principles of compensation for damage
- has an overview of corporation legislation and is able to distinguish different types of companies and their special features
- is able to utilize basic principles of corporate law
- knows the main tourism-related legislation
- is able to search and apply judicial knowledge into practice
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Satisfactory skills
The student shows basic-level critical, analytical and reflective thinking and practical skills in his/her studies and work-related tasks. He/she has basic knowledge of various tasks, models and processes of companies and organisations His/her marketing and financial management skills as well as knowledge of principles of project management are also at a satisfactory level. The student has basic skills of mathematics. He/she is able to find and use business and tourism related legal information with assistance but cannot fully apply it. The student is able to make a basic-level reflective analysis on his/her personal and skills from the viewpoint of entrepreneurship.
Good skills
The student shows critical, analytical and reflective thinking and practical skills in his/her studies and work-related tasks. He/she has good knowledge of various tasks, models and processes of companies and organisations. His/her marketing and financial management skills as well as knowledge of principles of project management are also at a good level. The student has good mathematical skills. He/she is able to find and use business and tourism related legal information and apply it. The student is able to make a reflective analysis on his/her personal and skills from the viewpoint of entrepreneurship.
