Gynecology and Nursing Care of Women and Families 6 ECTS
Competence Goals:
The student knows how to apply nursing processes in the care of women, pregnant women, families with infants and newborns. S/he can implement sexual and reproductive care by using health promoting methods with patients /clientele consisting of women, men and families. The student can implement nursing care that takes into consideration the special features of women’s health and family nursing. S/he can practice safe medical care.

* A student gains readiness to act methodically and in goal oriented way in Gynaecological Nursing, maternity nursing and understands the importance of multi professional cooperation.
* She/he recognizes the importance of preventive maternity care to an individual and a family/community.
* A student deepens her/his knowledge about anatomy, physiology and obstetrics and gynaecology. A student trains to promote the health of the family expecting a child.
